Happy Halloween!

ROAR!! Logan was a lion for Halloween, and he loved his costume. As I got it out of his closet this evening, he got so excited! We had practiced roaring for over a month, only to get a short quiet little roar out of him, but still cute! We started out the evening at our neighbors, Scott and Susan's for chili, and cider, and then we were off trick or treating with our other neighbors and their kids. It was great! The weather couldn't have been better! When Logan got to pick out candy from someones basket, he would always say "umm" for yum... you'd think he has had candy before :) We hope everyone else had a great night as well!

First Snow!

YESTERDAY...

TODAY!!

Just yesterday it was sunny and 80, and today it is 32 and snowing! I had just put up corn stalks on our front porch, and today they are heavy with snow and falling over. It started snowing early this morning, and we have a few inches now! It is the really heavy, wet snow that make the trees sag. Andy had Logan outside this morning for just a minute, and we plan on going out to play later too. He gave a handful of snow for Logan to eat, and once he tried it, he pointed, and asked for "more". We had forgotten how much we loved snow, and how much we have missed it over the past 4 years.

Basement Phase 2

So, the framing is almost done on our basement, and it looks great. We had a bit of trouble in the bedroom deciding where a closet would fit, but we came up with a solution that everyone agreed with. I am excited to get the drywall on so we can actually see what it will look like, but it will be a week or so before that happens as the plumber, electrician and HVAC guys all have to do there stuff before then. The picture on the right is of the closet under the stairs, and the entrance into the bedroom. Be sure to check out all the new pictures.

Snow Days...

It was rainy and cold all day here in Highlands Ranch, but we knew it would be snowing up in the mountains, so we took a beautiful drive to find snow! Logan loved it when we stopped at a Starbucks for something warm to drink, and the snow was falling on his head. We got him to stick out his tounge and taste the snowflakes. It gave all of us a good laugh!

Basement Beginnings

Work has officially started on our basement! Things are under way, and we are told that it should be finished in a few weeks!!! Logan and I went to the playground for an hour this afternoon while the men saw-cut the concrete for the plumbing. Needless to say it was VERY LOUD!!! It will be fun to watch the progress, and we will share it with you as well.

Slide Away

Now that Logan is walking, he loves to go to the playground. His favorite thing is the slide...and throwing the mulch, of course! We didn't even have to help him figure out how to go down the slide, he just turned around like he was going down the stairs, and took off! What fun!
