Papa Bear's visit :)

My dad came out to visit for a couple days this past week, and we had a great time (as we always do when family visits). We made a trip to Costco, and enjoyed the free samples and the best lunch deal ever :) We stopped by Tony's Market, and drooled over the delicious looking desserts and meats before deciding on a few to get for dinner. Dad helped fix a few things around the house, and finally, Dad and Andy drove to Colorado Springs to pick up our new pop-up camper (which took 4 hours). Logan enjoyed Papa's story about the bear & the blueberries (something we do at the dinner table to keep our little boy eating), and keeps retelling it daily! We are so blessed to have families that are willing to travel out to spend time with us... I mean, the kiddos :) We love you all!

Fun weekend with Aunt Alli

Aunt Alli came out to visit this past weekend, and it was so much fun! We spent time soaking up the sun and reading magazines, playing with the kiddos, visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and going for a necessary walk to Starbucks (we forgot the picture) :)  Did I mention  that I love it when family visits!!!

Feeding the giraffes - a must for any visitor :)

Touching a wallaby - Logan and Alli's favorite of the day!

Lyla all dressed up - pulling Alli's hair!

Cute self-portrait :)

Girl Talk!

More Trash Talk :)

Last Monday, when Tina was here, I joked with her that I should get Logan's picture with Jorge, our garbage man, since he thinks the world of him and his garbage truck right now.  So, of course, Tina ran and got her camera!  Needless to say, Jorge was happy to have his picture taken, and even happier to let Logan stand on the truck and wear his vest (none of which we asked him to do, and could have probably gotten him in trouble)!  Logan on the other hand, being so overwhelmed, looked quite confused through the whole thing.  Jorge is the BEST! What an exciting day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Love you Mom!!

Taylor Family Outtakes!

Along with all the wonderful, smiley pictures, are all the pictures that never make the cut!  I personally, love the outtakes more some times than the perfect pictures, and I wanted to share a few with you.  Here are a few moments of the Taylor family in "real life".

Sweet cross-eyed face

Logan's self portrait  (I love this picture)

Not too enthused about taking yet another picture with his sister

Who doesn't love an Oreo cookie face :)

Sometimes babies do cry!

This is how Logan gives his sister a kiss - I'm sure he will eventually realize... girls don't like this :)

Trying to get a picture of all three of us, but Logan was not cooperating and neither were the sunglasses

Logan: "Does she have poops?"

"ICE CREEEEEEEAM, ICE CREEEEEEAM, THE ICE CREAM MAN IS COMING!!"

Yes, we have an ice cream man!  It brings back fond memories of Eddie Murphy's ice cream skit & my grade school friends :)  every time he comes by.  Logan immediately stops what he is doing and runs to the door to see him go by!  When Tina was here the last time, we decided to let Logan get some ice cream because it is just too fun to get ice cream from an ice cream truck (even though you could buy a whole box for the price of one treat).  He was SUPER excited, and was so overwhelmed when he stopped, that he couldn't even decide on a treat - Daddy had to pick it!   When he got his Spider Man pop, he was so happy, but when he bit into it and decided it was too cold, he was more interested in getting the eyes off, which were made out of gum (his favorite thing right now).  In the end, Logan ate the gum and mom ate the pop - everyone was happy!

Fun with Mamaw

Tina was here visiting for a week, and it is always a good time!  We really did not do to much this visit, and it was great!  With Lyla sleeping a lot still, it makes it hard to go out, so we just hung out at home and enjoyed the fabulous weather, and playing with the kiddos.  I got to go out a couple times - which is GREAT, and on Mother's Day, Andy watched Logan and Lyla while Tina and I went shopping :)  It is so great when family visits!!!

Little Miss Lyla

Our baby girl is growing so fast!!!  At 14 weeks already, she is starting to stay up a bit more during the day, sleeping through the night (8pm-7am), babbling more, holding her head up really well, and is so close to rolling over!  Her pictures are so funny as she is always changing her expressions - some like mom and some like dad :)

Volcano fun!

Logan loves volcanoes, and so one afternoon (a few weeks ago), he and I created our own volcano, and have been having fun with it ever since.
