Logan & Lyla

From the very beginning of our pregnancy, we were preparing Logan for our new baby!  We would talk all about baby's - how they communicate, how they eat & sleep a lot, and how they need diaper changes a lot and so on.  We read books, and even went as far as getting him his own baby for Christmas, which he promptly named "baby Lyla".  He would even pretend that he was having a baby, by putting his baby inside his shirt and then telling us she was coming out in 2 minutes :)   We did as much as we thought we could to prepare him for a sister, but you still never know how a child will react to a sibling.  So far, so good!!!  Logan seems to love his sister more and more as time goes on, and is actually very sweet with her!  It is such fun watching his very "2 year old" interactions :)  This is what I mean:

When he wants to hold her, he holds her for a minute, and then proceeds to push or roll her off his lap when he is done;
He always wants to help me change her diaper, but is ultimately interested in the contents inside;
Any time she cries, he wants to figure out what is wrong, and proceeds to tell me she is hungry or tired or whatever he thinks;
When he gives her a kiss, it is a rough, both hands, grab of the face and pull, kind of kiss;
When giving Lyla a bath, he wants to help by pouring water over her face;
And the list goes on!  Even with all that, he just seems to adore Lyla, as least as much as a 2 year old can, and I just hope it lasts :)

Holding Lyla for the first time

Giving her a kiss - whoa baby!!

Reading her a story - awww (he did this all on his own)

All of your photos and stories are so cute! Logan reminds me of Carl when Eileen was born. He was just as attentive and loving to her....until she learned to crawl and get into his stuff. Then the fun began. Your children are beautiful and obviously the light of your lives. Wish we were closer to see them. Enjoy!
